Meet the Author
I'm really just a guy who's experienced a lot of life.
I'm a husband, a dad, a friend, and a son in more than one way. I've built businesses, raised a family, made plenty of mistakes, asked a lot of questions, and somehow ended up trying to write my first book.
Until Walk with Him, I'd never attempted to write anything like this. I still don't really think of myself as an author. I'm just someone who has spent a lot of his life wondering about people, relationships, purpose, faith, and God. Eventually, I realized I wanted to put some of those thoughts into words and see where they led.
My own relationship with God has never been a straight line. I've been close to Him. I've wandered. I've questioned. There were seasons when I barely thought about Him at all. For a long time, I thought that meant my relationship with God was either good or broken.
I don't believe that anymore.
Looking backward, I've begun to recognize a relationship that was there even when I wasn't paying attention to it. My relationship with God has ebbed and flowed throughout my life. His relationship toward me hasn't.
Maybe that's also why I've become so interested in our stories. The more people I meet and the more conversations I have, the more I realize we're probably more alike than we think. We all want to be seen. We want to be heard. We want to be loved. We have things we're proud of and things we wish we'd done differently. We have questions we haven't answered and parts of ourselves we're still trying to understand.
I'm no different. And I'm certainly no better.
I'm still asking questions. I'm still learning. I'm still becoming. And now, apparently, I'm writing about some of it.
If anything I write causes you to wonder, ask a question, look at someone differently, notice something in your own story, or simply feel a little less alone, then I'm glad you found your way here.
Let’s Stay Connected
Walk with Him is still being written. If you'd like to follow the journey, hear about the book as it develops, or simply reach out, I'd be glad to hear from you.
